100 Days – 100 Supporters – 100 Dollars

Dear Friend,

As you may have heard, I was appointed to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to represent District 4 in late March.  The boundaries of District 4 include the towns and cities of Wickenburg, Sun City, Sun City West, Surprise, El Mirage, Peoria, Youngtown, Litchfield Park, Goodyear, Buckeye and some parts of Glendale and Avondale.  As you can see, I have a lot of ground to cover, and a very diverse set of communities that all have different needs and opportunities.

It has been my honor to be appointed to this position, and to serve in the tradition of Mr. Max Wilson, and his predecessor, Governor  Jan Brewer.

In these tough economic times, we must all tighten our spending and stick to a reasonable budget.  As a supervisor now for only 100 days, I have already worked hard on a budget that helps accomplish this goal.  I voted to reduce the County budget by more than $40 million dollars, as well as decrease the average county property tax bill, bringing Maricopa County to a more sustainable financial position.  Also, just last month I was able to author a moratorium on establishing new rules and regulations that garnered unanimous support from the rest of the Board of Supervisors.

Due to Max’s resignation so early into his term, I have made the commitment to my supporters to seek election for the Maricopa District 4 office in 2014.  I very much look forward to running my first campaign, and to meeting with all of my constituents in this wonderful part of the Valley.  Please join my campaign today by making a contribution, and perhaps letting me know if you would like to volunteer as we get further into the election season.  I would appreciate it if you would fill out the enclosed support card along with your donation.

I cannot thank you enough for your support!

Sincerely,

Clint Hickman

County Board of Supervisors, District 4
